EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol restrict after a minimum of five individuals referred to as 911.
Officers say the calls began coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Primary Avenue exit. They say the crash precipitated a flat tire and the car to smoke, but the driver kept going.
Other callers say the driver was all over the street and now lacking a entrance tire.
They say he ultimately stopped at a car dealership and appeared “super drunk.”
Employees informed police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to promote his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell a number of occasions. Officers say he tested .291 on a transportable breath check.
Police say inside his SUV, they found 4 Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is dealing with several prices.
He's the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
