Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to attempt to promote damaged automobile with lacking tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol limit after at the very least 5 individuals known as 911.

Officers say the calls began coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Essential Road exit. They are saying the crash precipitated a flat tire and the car to smoke, but the driver saved going.

Different callers say the driving force was all over the highway and now missing a front tire.

They are saying he ultimately stopped at a automobile dealership and appeared “super drunk.”

Employees informed police the motive force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to sell his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.

They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell a number of times. Officers say he examined .291 on a portable breath check.

Police say inside his SUV, they found Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is facing several prices.

He is the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
