DALLAS - A 15-year-old girl from North Richland Hills is now dwelling after being abducted by a man at an April 8 Dallas Mavericks recreation at American Airlines Center. But the family still seeks solutions, and is charging the Mavs, the AAC and Dallas Police for not acting swiftly enough regarding the crime, which had the woman as part of a sex-trafficking operation.

“She was gone missing a complete of 11 days,” attorney Zeke Fortenberry mentioned. “Our intent is that means (the aforementioned organizations) are on discover that we’re pursuing claims towards them for their negligence and different causes of motion.''

Fortenberry stated the teenager’s father informed police on the recreation when he realized she was lacking. But, according to the attorney, the father was instructed to report the allegations to his hometown North Richland Hills Police. 

Fortenberry claims NRH police stated they weren’t in a position to help as a result of the incident occurred in Dallas.

The attorney said it was the Houston-based human trafficking company Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative that worked to seek out the missing girl, who was being held in an Oklahoma City motel.

Dallas Police instructed WFAA that they followed protocol'' and that they aided North Richland Hills PD within the search.

The Mavs responded publicly on April 20, after the woman was found, the group releasing the next statement: “The American Airlines Center (and the Dallas Mavericks) are grateful that the teenager has been found.Each entities will proceed to cooperate with native and regional law enforcement on this case.''
