"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mother in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her kids. They blocked dad and mom making an attempt to prepare to charge in to stop the shooter, together with a father who learned his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians decide that the lobbyist and gun industries are extra necessary than our kids's freedom to go to school with no need bulletproof backpacks and lively shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he called "the shortage of delivery of the promise of what our national anthem represents."

"I'm not okay with the state of this nation. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I might have demonstrated what I discovered from my dad, that if you're dissatisfied with your nation, you let it be identified via protest. The house of the brave should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger action towards gun violence in the United States.

Kerr refused to speak about basketball forward of Recreation 4 of the Warriors' series against the Dallas Mavericks, as an alternative elevating his voice as he railed against gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's capturing.

"Within the final 10 days, we have had elderly Black folks killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we now have kids murdered at college," Kerr informed reporters at the start of the press conference.

"When are we going to do something? I am tired. I'm so tired of getting up right here and providing condolences to the devastated families which might be out there ... I am uninterested in the moments of silence. Enough."
