Nashville Public Library launches ‘Freedom to Learn’ campaign

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's a topic that's taken hold in Tennessee: books like "Maus" or "Stroll Two Moons" have been pulled from cabinets.

Whereas these books may be banned from some faculties, there is still somewhere else you can find them.

"Our job is simply to ensure that in order for you it, it's here for you," stated Public Data Officer for the Nashville Public Library, Ed Brown.

"'Maus' is all checked out right now," stated Brown. "So we acquired more copies on order however as quickly as word obtained around about what occurred in McMinn County, we acquired a whole lot of holds."

Those are simply among the two million other materials at the Nashville Public Library.

The goal is to get the 5,000 library playing cards within the hands of latest sign-ups this month.
