Paul Pelosi, 82, was arrested at 11:44 p.m. PT and charged with driving under the affect and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher, in accordance with the Napa County Felony Justice Community's public booking report. Each charges are misdemeanors.
TMZ was the primary to report the arrest.Pelosi was attempting to cross SR-29 when his 2021 Porsche was hit by a 2014 Jeep traveling northbound on the street, according to a collision report from the California Freeway Patrol, which does not identify both driver as being at fault within the crash. Troopers were known as to the scene just before 10:30 p.m., the report stated.
There have been no injuries reported within the crash and the Jeep's driver was not arrested, the report stated.
CNN has reached out to the highway patrol and the Napa County Sheriff's Workplace for extra details.
Bail was set at $5,000 in response to the booking report, and data indicate Pelosi was launched Sunday morning.
"The Speaker is not going to be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast," a press release from Drew Hammill, Pelosi's spokesperson, mentioned. CNN reached out for an updated assertion after the collision report was released.
