Russian spy aircraft violates Swedish air space

A Russian reconnaissance aircraft briefly violated Sweden’s airspace on Friday, Swedish defense officers stated on Saturday, as the Scandinavian country ponders a bid for NATO membership after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“A Russian AN-30 propeller aircraft violated Swedish airspace on Friday night,” the Swedish defense ministry stated in a statement, including that its groups had adopted the incident and photographed it.
The ministry said the airplane was flying east of Bornholm, a Danish island in the Baltic, before it headed towards Swedish territory.
“It is totally unacceptable to violate Swedish airspace,” public television SVT quoted Protection Minister Peter Hultqvist as saying.
“This motion is unprofessional and given the general safety state of affairs very inappropriate. Swedish sovereignty should always be respected.”
