Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - Several companies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area together with several different businesses in an attempt to search out him.
The teen was discovered close to the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be dealing with a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anyone inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
