Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - A number of agencies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area together with several different agencies in an attempt to find him.
The teenager was found close to the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could possibly be dealing with a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no risk made to the varsity or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle School was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
