TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in jail for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met online, based on officials.

The U.S. Division of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two totally different occasions in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Court information say he flew forwards and backwards disguising himself as an English teacher.

Some of the boys, in response to the DOJ, have been lured with promises of money and presents. Others introduced him as their English instructor.

The Tampa Bay News says Homeland Security investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh Metropolis. It was a part of Project Protected Childhood, which was an effort to find youngster sex abuse started in 2006 by the DOJ.

“The laws of the USA will still catch as much as child predators who even travel to international nations to sexually abuse minor youngsters.
