Arlington police said Duff Elementary Faculty was placed on lockdown for a time Thursday after a parent with a hid weapon had his gun by accident go off, hitting the dad or mum within the leg.

Arlington dad and mom stated their minds instantly considered the worst when they had been notified.

Mitchell lives throughout the street from Duff Elementary. His daughters go to another Arlington faculty. 

"I’m terrified, completely terrified. I’ve obtained twin six-year-olds that go to a different Arlington faculty and each time I hear there's a lockdown or a school capturing, my heart jumps into my throat," he mentioned.

Rasheed stated Thursday was the graduation day for 6th grade college students at Duff Elementary.

Whereas driving her son to high school within the morning, she had a chat with him about Uvalde and what to do if something ever occurred at his faculty.

"If something happened, you’ve acquired to run anyplace that’s safe and conceal," she told her youngster.
