A California district legal professional declined to file prices Tuesday against former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson after he was recorded on video in a bodily altercation with one other passenger on a JetBlue flight.

"Yesterday afternoon the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Workplace concluded its overview of the case involving Mike Tyson at the San Francisco Airport on April 20, 2022 and the allegation that he committed a misdemeanor battery towards one other passenger on an airplane whereas ready at the terminal prior to departure," Wagstaffe mentioned in a statement.

"Our choice is that we will not file any costs in opposition to Mr. Tyson primarily based on the circumstances surrounding the confrontation. These embody the conduct of the sufferer main as much as the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the victim, in addition to the requests of both the sufferer and Mr. Tyson that no costs be filed in this case," Wagstaffe said.

The case is now closed.

Cellphone video confirmed Tyson, 55, appearing to attempt to punch someone who was pushing him away. Representatives for Tyson stated the particular person was harassing Tyson. The video did not present what occurred before the altercation.

David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Martin Sabelli, attorneys for Tyson, responded to the decision to not file charges by thanking Wagstaffe, the San Mateo County sheriff and regulation enforcement businesses "for his or her careful, diligent, and professional work."
