Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten rasch den Wert einer bevorzugten Listung in den Ergebnissen und recht bald entstanden Anstalt, die sich auf die Optimierung qualifizierten. In den Anfängen geschah die Aufnahme oft über die Übertragung der URL der jeweiligen Seite in puncto verschiedenartigen Suchmaschinen im Netz. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Auswertung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Webpräsenz auf den Webserver der Suchseite, wo ein weiteres Computerprogramm, der allgemein so benannte Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Ansprüche, Links zu weiteren Seiten). Die zeitigen Modellen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Informationen, die dank der Webmaster eigenständig existieren werden konnten, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Search Engines wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Überblick per Thema einer Seite, doch registrierte sich bald hervor, dass die Einsatz dieser Tipps nicht zuverlässig war, da die Wahl der genutzten Schlüsselworte dank dem Webmaster eine ungenaue Präsentation des Seiteninhalts wiedergeben hat. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Webseiten bei speziellen Recherchieren listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller verschiedenartige Eigenschaften innerhalb des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite besser in den Suchergebnissen aufgeführt wird.[3] Da die neuzeitlichen Internet Suchmaschinen sehr auf Kriterien abhängig waren, die ausschließlich in den Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr empfänglich für Straftat und Manipulationen im Ranking. Um höhere und relevantere Testurteile in den Suchergebnissen zu erhalten, musste ich sich die Inhaber der Suchmaschinen im WWW an diese Faktoren angleichen. Weil der Ergebnis einer Recherche davon anhängig ist, wesentliche Suchergebnisse zu den inszenierten Keywords anzuzeigen, konnten untaugliche Testurteile zur Folge haben, dass sich die Benutzer nach weiteren Optionen bei der Suche im Web umgucken. Die Antwort der Search Engines vorrat in komplexeren Algorithmen für das Platz, die Merkmalen beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur nicht leicht kontrollierbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin generierten mit „Backrub“ – dem Stammvater von Suchmaschinen – eine Suchseiten, die auf einem mathematischen KI basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Unterseiten gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus einfluss besitzen ließ. Auch übrige Internet Suchmaschinen orientiert während der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. fit der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Yahoo
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
