Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several companies responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mother noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world along with several different agencies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teenager was discovered close to the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old may very well be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the varsity or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
