"You see news every day about youngsters getting shot and folks your age dying and it's simply incredibly unhappy and unbelievable, especially to see like children younger and children my age," Janoff informed ABC Information. "I cant imagine that being me; however it's imaginable as a result of it occurs so often."
The 17 year-old says her school's administration was in help of the walkout and she hopes the over 200 deliberate demonstrations across the nation ship a transparent message that students are a "united entrance."
A walkout might not essentially change laws, Janoff mentioned, but these actions present "college students are still united in this."
She said that although most college students aren't old enough to vote, they nonetheless need to see change and are willing to take measures to have their voices heard in politics.
