Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Auswertung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Webseite auf den Web Server der Suchseite, wo ein zweites Angebot, der so genannte Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Wörter, Links zu diversen Seiten). Die neuzeitlichen Modellen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Angaben, die durch die Webmaster sogar vorgegeben werden, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen im WWW wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben eine Übersicht über den Gehalt einer Seite, dennoch stellte sich bald hoch, dass die Nutzung der Details nicht verlässlich war, da die Wahl der benutzten Schlagworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Darstellung des Seiteninhalts spiegeln vermochten. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Webseiten bei individuellen Recherchieren listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller unterschiedliche Eigenschaften in einem Zeitraum des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite besser in Ergebnissen gelistet wird.[3] Da die zeitigen Suchmaschinen sehr auf Merkmalen abhängig waren, die bloß in den Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr labil für Missbrauch und Manipulationen in der Positionierung. Um gehobenere und relevantere Ergebnisse in den Suchergebnissen zu erhalten, musste ich sich die Besitzer der Suchmaschinen an diese Faktoren anpassen. Weil der Riesenerfolg einer Suchmaschine davon anhängig ist, wichtige Suchresultate zu den inszenierten Keywords anzuzeigen, konnten ungünstige Testurteile dazu führen, dass sich die Benützer nach anderen Möglichkeiten für den Bereich Suche im Web umschauen. Die Auflösung der Suchmaschinen im Netz fortbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen fürs Platz, die Punkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur mühevoll steuerbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin generierten mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Die Suchmaschine – eine Anlaufstelle, die auf einem mathematischen Matching-Verfahren basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Websites gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus eingehen ließ. Auch übrige Suchmaschinen im Internet überzogen in Mitten der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. fit der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Yahoo

Can someone help me with the issue:
When I enable the SEO in System>Settings>Store>Server Tab, everything looks and runs Okay, exept when I go in ANY sub-category.
Then the site's URL goes from MySiteNameURL/MainCategory, to MySiteNameURL/MainCategory/AnySubCategory and CSS and JS are not loading at all! The category items listed in this categories are loading , exept the Style CSS file and any JS I have. In other words the site's style is gone.
But:
But if I drop the MainCategory from the URL and enter directly: MySiteNameURL/AnySubCategory the site is finding the correct path to the CSS and JS and everything is Okay.
Please, could someone help me with this? Thank You.

IMPORTANT FOR localhost! If you running project under sub directory for example localhost/opencart/upload you should update .htaccess

Thanks for the video, this made things that little easier for me, the only difference I had to make was to add a few custom lines from my .htaccess to the bottom of the new .txt one as my site forces https access. Took a few seconds and no issues so far 🙂
Doing this has broken all product pages. When I click on any product I open an error page that says something like this: "Fatal error: Uncaught Twig_Error_Loader: Unable to find template "extension/module/quickorder.twig" followed by paths that are missing.

URL shown as in your tutorial, yes, but I get an internal server error …Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Then again, what about all the product pages? They still show an ugly, ridiculous URL like:
index.php?route=product/product&product_id=40 ???
Who would ever try to even think about buying a product_id=40 from any online store?

Thanks for the video. It is important to indicate that it is necessary to create seo_url for categories, since WITHOUT seo url for a specific category to which product “A” belongs, it will NOT have a seo url (product “A”), and instead of seo_url, the usual will be displayed «…index.php?route = …».

I had this setup just fine on my site, but now I'm working with a multi site, and the seo url's do not work with the additional store. I get error 500. I can not figure out why.

I have two htaccess files
htaccess and .htaccess.txt
What do I do here, delete htaccess which is the original file and amend the .htaccess.txt by removing the .txt extension?

Hello. I have made all as described here, but get 404. And not seo urls works. My site use 2 languages and I have set keywords for both languages. Finally it works, but changing language go to home page and connection on seo url pages are not secure.
It would be good to add that one should only put category_id=xxx for category etc. because first I was trying to add the whole link with index.php and so one.
